Description : Terre d'Oc was founded in 1995 with the aim of making the natural resources of Haute Provence known to the public, and particularly the Lubéron ochres in a collection of decorative items: water-colours made with the ochre from Gargas, presentation boxes with those from Rustrel, sundials painted with ochre.
A new concept was born In 1997: it was to combine the Orient and Provence by joining the perfumes from Grasse and the essential oils from Provence to exotic Oriental incenses in a collection of Home Perfumes whose fragrances are rooted in our deepest memories. Memory of an Instant was thus born: Siesta under the Fig tree, Nature after Rain, and Winter Evening by the Fireside.
These perfumes are elegantly wrapped in bright, multicoloured, tissue paper and folded by hand. This “handmade” signature, the label for our entire production gives an exclusive, artisanship aspect to our collections.
Perfume associated to past memories, to emotions, and to the imagination, this is the main theme of our creations: a few drops of perfume sprayed over the room, or in a perfume-burner, will bring long past memories back by just breathing in the notes of that particular fragrance.
Incense, sprays, pillow mist, capilla perfume diffusers, candles, perfumed pencils, perfume for your cupboards, perfumed fans are all the instigators of those instants appealing to your emotions!
After the decoration and the Home Perfumes, inspiration, imagination and enthusiasm propelled us along the way to well being.
In 2003, our first skin care line was launched under the name of BEAUTÉ DU MONDE embracing the cause of sustainable trade and made from Shea Butter from Mali and Burkina Faso, green tea from Laos and honey from the Himalayas. Developed with the support of an N.G.O. whose mission is to assist the poorest populations and uphold the principles of sustainable and fair trade. To take care of yourself, your well being and beauty and at the same time helping others, sharing out the riches of nature equitably, discovering beauty rituals and cultures from all over the world. All this simply because beauty rhymes with equity.
